As a graduate of a BA (hons) Contemporary Photographic Practice degree I have developed a wide range of technical and photographic skills, as well as critical concerns within my work as an artist. I also work commercially as a portrait, wedding and music press photographer.
I have extensive knowledge of traditional techniques as well as a high level of digital image manipulation and production ability. I am able to work with all large format film and digital equipment and confident with both portable and studio lighting. My ability with Adobe Photo Suite applications, particularly Photoshop CS2, is excellent and I am confident in using both PC and Macintosh platforms.Through a various self-initiated projects I have developed excellent research and analytical skills, which strengthen my practice. Through my site-specific and collaborative work I have developed and demonstrated thorough negotiation and communication skills. Currently I work freelance as a photographer for North East music press Narc, The Crack and The Fly. I have also previously been published in The Guardian Weekend magazine.
